Menton-Garavan


The city of Menton is located at 7 minutes from the campsite. The municipality is located in the French department of Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur, on the border with Italy (Ventimiglia). Because of the historical, cultural, tourist and geographical reasons, the Italian language by the majority of the population understood.

From “Garavan, near the Italian border to the town of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Menton offers several beaches. All the beaches are clean and well maintained and equipped with showers in the summer.

The sea water quality is guaranteed by the new build purification system. The beaches of Menton Garavan are among the finest in the Côte d’Azur. The mild climate allows you to visit sunny Menton all year-round.

Fete du Citron – Lemon Festival

Menton has left nothing to chance at the annual lemon festival, a unique event. The Lemon Festival is provided by many members of the municipility to take care of the lemon decorations. Along with the carnival floats it’s worth visiting menton during the festival.

Roquebrune-Cap-Martin


On top of Roquebrune will find the castle, offering a fantastic view over Cap Martin and Monte Carlo. The village of Roquebrune (only 25 minutes from the campsite) is a beautiful medieval town with a fascinating history, the center of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin (located 225 meters above sea level).

Roquebrune-Cap-Martin has a medieval character, made up of narrow streets covered with Roman vaulting. The view of the coast of Cap Martin and the Principality of Monaco is really great.
Its unique location makes it veryu easy to visit from other places in the area such as Menton and Monaco, and under the influence of the last named, Roquebrune has excellent restaurants. A verysuitable place to dine in good company.

Nizza


The city of Nice is beautiful at the Mediterranean Sea and is close to the border with Italy (40 minutes away from the campsite). The city was an attractive tourist resort, since the XIXcentury. It was the favorite destination of the rich from Brittany to spend the winter months, attracted by the mild climate. Nice is now the second most visited city in France after Paris, also thanks to its proximity to other famous places of the Cote d’Azur like Monaco, Cannes and St. Tropez.

Nice is famous for its Provencal market, colors, palm trees, monuments of great architectural value, seen through the clear blue sea. The Promenade des Anglais, the most famous boulevard.

On one side the blue sea and on the other side the beauty of magnificent buildings and hotels, like the ‘Negresco’ and the ‘Palais de la Mediterranee “and the famous Casino Ruhl. The Nice Carnival festival is undoubtedly the finest and most famous event. The Nice Carnival attracts every year thousands of people to the Promenade des Anglais, a big party.
